AEDD Children’s Learning Center Therapy Garden

Children aren’t the only things that will now be growing at AEDD Children’s Learning Center.  On April 15, 2010 with the donation of supplies from local Home Depot stores and the generosity of thirty-five volunteers from stores located in Jonesboro, Batesville, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Conway and Cabot, Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD) dream of a 430 square foot Therapy Garden became a reality.  The garden will feature seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs along with perennial and annual flowers. The garden is sponsored by the AEDD Auxiliary and will be maintained by the children and staff of the AEDD Children’s Center. Physical and Occupational therapists will be able to utilize the garden for daily therapy sessions to increase mobility and dexterity.
